NATRIONAL NODE OF metrofood-ri
METROFOOD-CZ (LM2023064; LM2018100) is the first large infrastructure in the Czech Republic focused on agriculture, nutrition and food sciences. This area requires a multidisciplinary approach and expertise in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, nutrition, dietetics, toxicology, food technology, general metrology, environmental sciences, agroecology, agronomy and environmental chemistry.
Infrastructure for Promoting Metrology in Food and Nutrition
METROFOOD-RI is a new distributed Research Infrastructure aimed to promote scientific excellence in the field of food quality and safety. It provides high-quality metrology services in food and nutrition, comprising an important cross-section of highly interdisciplinary and interconnected fields throughout the food value chain, including agrifood, sustainable development, food safety, quality, traceability and authenticity, environmental safety, and human health.
The METROFOOD-RI Consortium involves 48 Institutes from 18 European Countries (15 Members States and 5 Associated Countries). This RI was included into the ESFRI Roadmap in 2018.

METROFOOD-CZ provides its services to a wide range of users, researchers, academics, government supervisors, food retailers, consumers and the general public. These end-users can be public and private research laboratories and research groups active in many scientific fields (metrology, analytical chemistry, food analysis, food composition and nutrition, food quality and safety, food processing; epidemiological studies and risk analysis); food companies; institutions and services (education, research, food distribution, input supplies). The METROFOOD-CZ research infrastructure is open to all users with interesting scientific projects from all over the world
